SPRING :: Year 730 of the New Age

She sat perfectly still, watching the decanter on the ledge in front of her. The liquid inside hummed and swirled in a rolling ball of energy. It bobbed and blopped against the fine glass container and shoved against the cork stopped- but it didn't escape. The point wasn't to make it escape but to control it through another object. To use it to move the other object. The decanter with it's odd vase-like structure rocked back and forth on the ledge, disturbed by its angry contents. She furrowed her brow in frustration, concentrating on the water. It gave a sudden, blinding flash and she yelped, jerking back away from the liquid and container.

There was a loud shatter as the glass crashed against a stone wall echoed by a heavy thud as her body met the stone floor. Her head thonked a rock and she blinked, rapidly, trying to clear the stars from her vision. Which ones were caused by the pain and which ones were caused by the flash of light she wasn't entirely sure but she wanted them gone and they refused to go away. With a groan the young doe shoved up onto her stomach and looked around the pockets of stars at the damage she had done. The decanter was lost, damaged beyond repair and while she longed to mourn the strange object her attention was too quickly drawn away from it to focus on another matter at hand.

Two piers of water spiked into the air headed with blobbing, lopsided spheres. As soon as she focused on them they lurched at her from their place on the ground where the puddle had been divided into two, and wrapped around her body. Strangely enough she felt urged to her feet and up she rose to stand between the swirling globs of water and their buoyant bodies. Light reflected from deep inside the substances. Her ears twitched as she watched them, mouth opening and closing when she couldn't find the words. oh god she's going to kill me! Min thought with horror. And her aunt was likely going to do just that. The decanter had been her mothers and her aunt was always very particular about things like that.

The water bobbed up and down, casting rippling reflections on the cave walls and Mindelans coat as it did so. Gelatinous heads rubbed against her own and she made a face at them. Oh great, she thought, just what I needed. A pair of needy lovey-dovey water balls

Oh Min - I love this! The story adds to the image so much, it's fantastic.
